Congratulations again to Jody, who is ridiculously talented and amazing in general. This piece is so good. I love working with her and there are some great pieces of art that exist out there in the world because of it.
"Before Midnight" | SilverMedal | Entertainment Weekly
On Friday, February 6th, 2015, I was honored to accompany illustrator Jody Hewgill on stage as she accepted her Gold medal from Society of Illustrators for her painting of "Before Midnight” (which I assigned to her back when I was still kicking ass as Design Director of Entertainment Weekly). Little did I know that as Art Director of the piece, I would also be given an actual Gold Medal and certificate. Very cool! Thanks to everyone at SI (and of course, the jury) for the award.
